Assessment is one way to make sense of how we think, learn, and experience the world. Te Wheke offers explorative assessments or those to specifically diagnose ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, intellectual disability, giftedness and others.
Te Wheke provides tailored cognitive, educational and neurodevelopmental assessments for children, young people and adults across Aotearoa New Zealand. We work with you to explore areas of concern, build a clear understanding of strengths and challenges, and identify what might help.
Our clients might have questions about reading, writing or maths, or wonder whether ADHD or autism could explain their experience.
Our psychologists work collaboratively with individuals, schools, employers, other agencies, and whānau. Every assessment is tailored to a client’s needs and context. We provide clear, accessible, and neuroaffirming reports that explain our findings and offer practical recommendations for learning, work, and everyday life. Our aim is to help every client leave with greater understanding of themselves, and clarity about what to do next.
A tailored approach that is efficient and prioritises your needs
Cognitive, dyslexia, and dyscalculia assessments, along with all under 18 assessments are conducted in person. While adult ADHD and autism assessments can be conducted online.
Te Wheke is currently offering in-person assessments in Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Tasman, Christchurch, and Queenstown.
