Clinical Referrals for Adult ADHD Assessments
Targeted ADHD assessments for adults conducted in partnership with a patient’s primary health care provider and a Te Wheke psychologist.
Key information about this process:
A GP or Nurse Practitioner can refer their patient for an ADHD assessment using this form.
A targeted ADHD assessment will be conducted by a Te Wheke psychologist.
The patient will receive a compact written report summarising results.
If ADHD is indicated, Te Wheke will send the report to the referring clinician, with patient consent, who may discuss the appropriateness of a medication trial with the patient.
If ADHD is not indicated, Te Wheke will make recommendations for next steps to support the patient’s needs and, with patient consent, will share these with the referring clinician.
Te Wheke Ltd. charges $1,000 (incl. GST) for the assessment and resulting report.
GP/Nurse Practitioner costs are not included in the assessment price above.
GP/Nurse Practitioner costs are charged to the patient separately.
