Our Services

A woman with blonde hair and glasses smiling at a girl with brown hair in a braid, sitting at a table. The woman is wearing a black shirt and large earrings, and the girl is wearing a pink shirt. There is a gray laptop and a small white box on the table, and a green chair is visible.

Te Wheke psychologists provide assessments for children, adolescents and adults. We use gold standard assessment tools to explore an individual’s way of being and learning style, and determine their best options for support. An assessment can be exploratory, or diagnostic in scope. Our educational psychologists can diagnose a range of conditions in children and adults, including Specific Learning Disorders such as dyslexia, learning differences like giftedness and twice-exceptional learners, and neurodivergence such as ADHD.

We offer professional supervision to fellow psychologists, educators and allied professionals. We pride ourselves on our informative and engaging, professional learning and development (PLD) sessions delivered to schools, government services, education providers, and community services and whānau.

We offer counselling and therapy sessions, coaching and advocacy support, and behavioural, educational, and skills-based intervention services. We provide these services to clients across the age range, and in a variety of different contexts including in clinic, in home visits, and on school grounds in partnership with school staff.

Policy Development and Implementation

A modern, circular government building with vertical glass windows and a government building with classical columns and a carved frieze, both flying flags, under a partly cloudy sky.

We have deep experience in the development of robust policy, systems-level programme design and roll-out, and monitoring and evaluation. We offer policy development and consultation services.
